As Chief Content Officer for Network Ten, Beverley oversees a number of departments including production, development, acquisitions, program scheduling, marketing, research, insights and digital media. Beverley has been part of TEN's strategy of targeting viewers with programs such as MasterChef Australia, The Project, Offspring, Australian Survivor, and I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! She was also instrumental in developing Australia's newest digital channel, ELEVEN, which launched in January 2011.

SPEAKERS

Beverley McGarvey’s international television experience spans Ireland, NZ and the UK before joining Network Ten in Australia. As Chief Content Officer for Network Ten, Beverley oversees a number of departments including production, development, acquisitions, program scheduling, marketing, research, insights and digital media.

Beverley has been part of TEN's strategy of targeting viewers aged 25 – 54 who are young at heart with programs such as MasterChef Australia, The Project, Offspring, Have You Been Paying Attention?, Shark Tank, Australian Survivor, The Bachelor Australia, The Bachelorette Australia, I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! and the KFC Big Bash League. She was also instrumental in developing Australia's newest digital channel, ELEVEN, which launched in January 2011.

Beverley joined Network Ten in 2006 from TV3 in New Zealand, where she was Director of Programming from 2004. Prior to that, she spent four years as Head of Program Scheduling and Promotions for TV3 Ireland. Earlier in her career, Beverley worked for ITV's Meridian Television in Southampton, having begun her career in 1994 as a program researcher for UTV. She holds an honours degree in media studies from the University of Ulster, Coleraine, in Northern Ireland.

Matthew Deaner is our Chief Executive Officer. Matthew sits across all aspects of Screen Producers Australia's advocacy work, industrial negotiations, events and operational issues. He also works closely with our Council to set the strategic direction of the organisation as well as identify and execute new business development opportunities.
